Educational Content
The STEM Education series has 3 themes, 6 academic years of advanced teaching system.
Objective
To help students learn the basics of smart homes and also improve their hands-on skills, coding skills, problem-solving skills, and teamwork skills.
Teaching
Teachers introduce smart home concepts and encourage students to explore the basics of smart home technology before diving into building and coding.
Coding
Students program using block-based ACECode under the guidance of the instructor. This session improves their coding and problem-solving abilities.
Presenting
Once the projects are complete, students proudly present their work. This allows them to practice public speaking and showcase their ideas to the class.

EXCELLENT stem project for students!
I got this to allow for a few more advance students to do independent study with in a high school levelcomp sci class. For my purpose there, it’s worked out great, and we’ve reached the point where they’remaking their own other things out of the sensors, motors, etc; within this kit.
I feel like this is the next generation of the erector sets l grew up with, and far better than anythingKinex or Lego offers in terms of pairing hands on learning with the abstract concepts in coding.

Great starter kit for kids and kids at heart
This is a great kit to introduce IoT programming and sensors and has fun narratives to keep kids interested and motivated. I’m interested in re-using some of the sensors after we get through the full kit, as they are quite nice for general ESP32/ESPHome sensing.
